We were beyond excited to team up with the legendary crew at Brickvention for their latest creative upgrade, the installation of the Epson SC-V1060 UV Desktop Printer! As long-time LEGO lovers ourselves, this was a perfect match. With the V1060 now part of their toolkit, the Brickvention team can add a whole new layer of personalisation to their iconic bricks, and we’re thrilled to be part of their custom merch journey and share their story with you!

Machines Plus: “When did Brickvention start?”
Brickvention: “Brickvention will be celebrating it’s 20th Birthday in 2026!”

Machines Plus: “Could you give a brief overview of what Brickvention does?”
Brickvention: “Brickvention is Australia’s Premier LEGO Fan Event, held annually at the Royal Exhibition Building Carlton. The event features hundreds of original LEGO displays, engaging activities, guest appearances and family friendly fun - uniting fans, families and builders of all ages through the universal language of LEGO. Brickvention is proudly community driven, powered by a dedicated team of volunteers and fuelled by the boundless creativity of LEGO fans across Australia. Machines Plus: “Why did you make the leap to bring printing in-house?”
Brickvention: “We have lots of ideas for things we can create for Brickvention that will be further enhanced by the ability to print! We also wanted the flexibility to be able to experiment and develop our ideas without having to rely on third party printing. Not to mention it will help us keep costs down by printing only exactly what we need when we need it. We’re genuinely excited for the possibilities!”

Machines Plus: “What experience have you had printing merchandise yourself?”
Brickvention: “None - all of our printing has been outsourced”

Machines Plus: “How did you find Machines Plus?”
Brickvention: “We were searching for UV printer distributors and you are located close to us!”

Machines Plus: “How did you find the installation process of the Epson SC-V1060?”
Brickvention: “Seamless! We have been able to get up and running with printing very quickly, and we are grateful for the flexibility and helpfulness provided during the installation process.”

Machines Plus: “We always talk about the “Plus” in Machines Plus. What does it mean to you?
We know it is early days working with Machines Plus, can you provide an example of a time when you experienced the “Plus” in Machines Plus?
Brickvention: “For us, at this early stage, the “Plus” has been the friendly, helpful and responsive support provided by Gus. He has thoroughly explained everything and is always willing to talk us through when we have a quick question or need more help.”
