Founder & CEO + Chief Morale Officer

Gus is the founder of Machines Plus and the person most likely to be involved in just about everything — sales, installations, training, customer support, product ideas, strategy and whatever problem happens to land on the desk that day.
He’s also a lifelong LEGO tragic, which probably explains why the Machines Plus team ended up as minifigures in the first place. He loves building things, solving problems and figuring out how all the pieces fit together — which is pretty much how he approaches the business too.
Then there’s Vader, Gus’s Australian Shepherd and the other half of the dynamic duo. Officially, he could probably be described as security. In reality, he’s a not-so-guarding dog who is far more interested in meeting people, getting attention and doing what he loves most — hanging around Gus, supervising absolutely everything and making sure no opportunity for food or affection is missed.
Together, they’re a fairly accurate representation of Machines Plus: a little unconventional, very hands-on, occasionally chaotic, but always trying to build something better.

Gordon Kerr

Operations & Business Development

Gordon works across operations, business development and the numbers that keep Machines Plus moving in the right direction. He helps bring structure to the business, keeps an eye on performance and makes sure good ideas eventually turn into something measurable.
He also has a slightly unhealthy love of spreadsheets. If there’s a number to track, a margin to check, a forecast to build or a process that can be turned into a table, Gordon is probably already halfway through the spreadsheet.
Calm, practical and commercially focused, Gordon brings a strong balance of planning and common sense to the team — and usually a few extra columns nobody else realised we needed.

Kristina

Marketing Coordinator

After completing a Diploma of Graphic Design at CATC Design School in 2014, Kristina spent more than 10 years working as a graphic designer for various companies.

She spends her days taking care of the Machines Plus website and online store, social posts, YouTube and any promotional material.

Devin

Internal BDM

Devin is our Internal BDM and one of the people keeping the day-to-day action moving at Machines Plus. He works across customer enquiries, orders, consumables, sales opportunities and follow-ups, helping customers get what they need and keeping things moving internally.
Originally from Canada, Devin is also a massive football fan — or soccer, as the Canadians insist on calling it. When he’s not chasing orders or looking after customers, there’s a good chance football will make its way into the conversation.
Friendly, easy to deal with and always willing to help, Devin is often one of the first people you'll speak with when you contact Machines Plus.
And yes, the Black Panther LEGO sidekick is there for a reason. 😄

Jinal Shah

E-commerce Specialist

Jinal looks after the digital side of Machines Plus, working on our online store, website structure, customer experience and all the little things that make buying online easier.
She has a particular talent for looking at a website and immediately finding another ten things that could be improved — menus, navigation, product pages, layout, customer journey… apparently a website is never actually finished.
With a strong background in web development and e-commerce, Jinal brings the technical knowledge behind Shopify together with a very practical understanding of how customers actually use an online store.
When she isn’t rebuilding, optimising or quietly changing something on the website, she is probably already thinking about what we should improve next.

Jeffrey Kline

National Business Development & Strategic Accounts Manager | Technical Leadership

With a career spanning decades in the printing industry, Jeffrey brings extensive knowledge of digital printing technologies, colour management, RIP software, technical applications and strategic customer relationships.

His experience includes working with ErgoSoft, Printflex and Ball & Doggett, giving him a broad understanding of both the technical and commercial sides of the industry.

Having known Machines Plus Founder and CEO Gus Altmann for almost 20 years, Jeff now brings that experience to our national business development and strategic accounts, while helping lead our technical department alongside Gus.

For our customers, Jeff represents more than another point of contact. He's someone who understands the challenges of running a printing business, from choosing the right equipment to improving workflows, solving technical problems and identifying opportunities for growth.
