Image Armor

Did you know that Machines Plus is an authorised reseller of Image Armor pretreatments? Compatible with most popular ink brands (including Epson, Ricoh, Brother and Dupont to name a few), these pretreats are known for being easy to use and reliable.


Available as either concentrate (which needs to be mixed with distilled water prior to use) or RTU (ready to use), there are 2 pretreat formulas available - Ultra, which is ideal for mid dark to black garments, and Light, which is ideal for light to white garments.


Pretreatment can be applied manually through the use of a spray gun or roller, otherwise you can use an electronic system (such as the Cube). No matter how you have chosen to apply your pretreat, we recommend testing prior to running any production.


We can also supply a variety of other quality Image Armor consumables, including capping station solution, cleaning solution and flushing solution. Please contact us directly if you are interested in inks.

Fast gelling and less ink

Featuring a faster gel time for white inks than other pretreats on the market, Image Armor allows for faster as well as ‘one-pass’ printing. You’ll also find that you can reduce the amount of ink applied to each garment - save some money!

Washes better

Whilst we expect some fading to occur with wear and washing, these pretreats will actually increase the wash fastness of any ink set. Improving the washability of your prints ensures that they will look better for far longer.

Wider application window

Whilst it’s possible to apply too little pretreat, using Image Armor ensures there’s no worries about using too much. Yellowing, staining and other discoloration as well as peeling and poor washability will be things of the past.

Less crystallisation

Some users report white crystallised flakes on pretreated areas after garments have been pressed. This pretreat helps to significantly reduce or even eliminate this problem all together, resulting in smoother and better looking prints.
